Musée des traditions vigneronnes
ABOUT
Born out of the Caveau Bugiste's ambition to preserve the ways and know-how of times gone by, the Winemaking Traditions Museum boasts one of the biggest collections of ancient tools (over 1,300) and objects used for working the vines and producing wine. The museum's 4 exhibition rooms makes this age-old art come alive.
Many of the pieces date back to the 18th century, and some are much rarer and even unique.
The museum also houses the Vinorama - "Tourism, Winegrowing and Gastronomy in the homeland of Brillat-Savarin" Exhibition as well as temporary exhibitions of paintings and sculptures. You can also visit the Museum of Stoneworking Tools.
Tastings of the cellar's wines and local produce (see the section on Wine Cellars for more information).
